I Love Math Challenge #15

Hello Friends,

It is time for another math challenge.

I can't believe we are already on 15th challenge. That is some consistent hard work put in by my dear friend, Milka! This her idea and she is the one who has organized this in spite of many hurdles along the way! Unfortunately, she is under the weather so her post is not up yet but she will be with us in a day or two. By the time I will give you a head start on challenge.

Math: Anything Math Goes
Design: AnyTheme: Christmas/Winter

Additional info:

Create Christmas or Winter themed project (card, layout, box, bag etc.). Include something Math (anything you like) and please explain it.

You can start creating your projects and when Milka's post is up with inlinkz, you link your project there.

Now, coming to my card, I have used MFT stencil and few blue and green distress oxides for blending. I have chosen triangle shapes for math part as they represent Christmas trees very well. All the details are hand drawn. I also added some glimmer paste for the snow using sss stencil. The sentiment is by Jane's Doodles.

It is an easy challenge and I had fun making this card. I hope you will play along. You can visit Milka's blog HERE in couple of days for more details, rules and inlinkz to link your project.

The Prize: one Jane's Doodles stamp of winner's choice for one random winner from our TOP 4.

Thank you for being here!
Hugs!

Blog Hop - Jane's Doodles

Hello friends,

It is time for Christmas release blog hop @ Jane's Doodles. There are 4 new stamp sets for you all to play with.

Snow Globe - NEW! SALE!Winter Icons - NEW! SALE!Winter Village - NEW! SALE!Winter Words - NEW! SALE!

Lets start with the first card

I have used Winter Village  set for this card. This is the most beautiful winter set I have seen in a while. The houses are adorable and good sized to create a scene. I have used various distress oxides to create shy and copics to color the images. Splatters of chalk paint was added for the snow.

This winter Icon set is so much fun! I have used water color paper circles to stamp and color images . I love the mix of blues and greens. That embossing folder adds nice texture to a simple card. This design is a great example on how to use small stamps and create a larger focal point.

Next set is Snow Glob. It is to create scene within the glob but I thought everyone is going to use it that way so I decided to make few cute tags using it.

THere is a new addition to our design team , Linda van Wely-Zwolle . She is from Netherlands and you can find her amazing work @ Stamping with Liz Desig . She is an amzing crafter and i love her coloring skills. Linda, warm welcome to the team!

Deck the halls

Hi friends,

It is the most wonderful time of the year...:)! Ya, I mean it. I love making Christmas cards and this year I have made quite a few so far. Today's card is inspired by penny black stamp.  I have used  Jane's Doodles Deck the halls set to make it.

The ornaments are colored using prisma color pencils. The grey is actually silver pencil. It is hard to capture the shimmer but it looks gorgeous in actual. For the left side of the card, I tried to create deconstructed Christmas tree...:P. The stripe which looks black in picture is actually brown
wood-grain card stock.

I hope you all are having fun making Holiday Cards. Thank you for being here.
Hugs!

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop - Xmas release

Hello Friends,

It's been a while since we had blog hop @ Jane's Doodles. We are releasing three Christmas sets.

Deck The Halls                             Driving Home For Christmas               Holy Night

Deck the Halls                          Driving Home For Christmas              Holy Night

So let's start with the cards.

This - Deck the halls set is all about ornaments. Various sizes and shapes of the ornaments are perfect to use for card as well as tags. They are fun to water color. I have white embossed the ornaments, color loosely with water colors and fussy cut! Sentiment is from Merry Christmas set ( beautiful sentiments in bold fonts). Pine branches are from an old stamp set (Christmas Blessings) .

I also made these two cute tags with the same set.

Next, I am using Driving Home for Christmas set.

This is a fun stamp set.  I decided to make a slider card with it. I started with stamping, coloring and fussy cutting car, wagon and stack of gifts. I cut inside parts of car windows too and backed it with clear acetate so when the car slides, the background and trees are visible from the window. , I stamped and embossed birch tree trunks from Wise Owl set. Painted the background with cracked pistachio and peacock feathers distress inks. I also painted the tree trunks using hickory smoke distress ink. Glued some white glitter for the snow. Added sentiment and white acrylic paint's splatter to finish it off.

Here is a tiny video to see it in action.

I also made this set of 4"x4" cards and envelopes in a vintage style. I had this postmark pattern papers form Papertrey Ink and decided to pair it up with these stamps.

I had few wood slice coasters from my garden tree. I stamped on them with archival ink and colored using tombow brush markers. There are scopes for improvement but not bad for the first try.  The trees are from an old stamp set.

That is all for today! I will be posting more from these stamp sets as I start preparing for this years Christmas cards. So keep watching this space.

We are super happy as Jennifer McGuire is also joining this blog hop as a guest designer. All clear stamps are 20% off through weekend.

One lucky winner from all the blogs will get these 3 stamp sets so follow the order and start your hop to see what your others have created and don't forget to leave some love.

You must have come from Jane's blog. Your next stop is my lovely friend Milka
