You are SWEET

Hello friends,

Today, I am sharing a card made for Jane's Doodles blog. It was inspired by a cookery show I was watching while eating watermelon...:P . The summer is really getting worst every year where I live. Temperature is soaring  47 degree centigrade during day time. Nights are very warm too. So we eat lots of fresh fruits specially water melons to keep us hydrated as well as to avoid craving for ice cream at night!

I was watching some cookery show where the contestant made deconstructed dessert, so I combined the idea of deconstructed dessert and watermelon to make this card.

I simply die cut a panel from water color card stock and painted it using mission gold water colors. Stamped the water melon Popsicle stamp from Cool set & fussy cut just the melon part. For the border I used outline rain drop stamp from Rain Or Shine set and just filled it with black scribbled lines. I also applied wink of stella shimmer on slices of water melon which is not visible though.

Hope you like my idea! Thanks for being here. Happy crafting!

Blog Hop @ Jane's Doodles

Hi there,

I am back to crafting after a long break (5 weeks). I was with my son in Seattle. We had fantastic time together and have to admit, I did not miss crafting....:P ! It still feels so surreal.

Now back to reality! I am sharing few projects which are part of a blog hop @ jane's doodles. We are releasing three stamps sets which you all are gonna love.

                  Bless Your Heart                   Homemade                                       Magnolia

 Bless Your Heart                  Homemade                      Magnolia

Let's check the first project where I have used Magnolia & Bless your heart sets.

Magnolia is a beautiful set with 6 flowers and 2 buds. Love the size and shape variation of all the stamps. Also the flowers look very natural and organic. I stamped flowers on Strathmore water color panel with archival ink and colored them with Mission Gold Water colors. I tried to achieve  loose, pixelated look.  Here is the colse up

The sentiment is from Bless your heart stamp set.

Second project is couple of treat boxes for which I have used Homemade stamps set. It has cute images of backing utensils and some lovely sentiments.

The boxes are 4" x 2 7/8" in dimension .  I used plain card stocks to make these treat boxes/bags. I cut, score and stamped the CS before folding. I also made 2 cute tags to go with them.

Third card is mini 3x4 " card.

Love how it turned out...:)

I hope you enjoyed the projects.
As always, hop to all the blogs and leave comment to enter to a lucky draw where you can win a stamp set of your choice. All the stamps are on sale( 25% discount). Your next stop would be Milka !

You Melt My Heart

Hi Friends,

I made this card for Jane's Doodles blog using their new release 'Cool'.

Isn't that just cool...??? I used Mission Gold water colors to color the image and for those 3 bands in the background. Added little highlight with white prisma color pencil.

You are not alone

Hey Friends,

I am on Jane's blog with a water colored card.

I have used Daffodils  stamp set for my card. It was stamped on ranger water color card stock with archival ink and colored using Mission Gold water colors. Isn't that sentiment heart touching? We all are fighting our own battles but some time, just knowing that we are not alone is enough to keep us going. That is all for today.
Have a great day!

Birthday wishes

Hello friends,

I am on Jane's blog with a birthday card.

I have used Birthday Wishes & Cakes stamp sets. The black and grey stripes are done directly on the base using Zig clean brush pens. Cake is water colored and added few clear stones and white embossed sentiment to finish off my card.

Here is the close up!

Thank you so much for being here.

Thankful

Hey friends,

I am on Jane's blog with a card and a tag. I have used her Thankful set .

It is a combination of some bold sentiments and very playful leaves stamps. Love the variation in sizes and trendy, geometric feel to it.

I decided to try some negative painting with it. Though I cheated a bit and embossed the leaves in white on Strathmore precut water color paper. This made the whole coloring process super fast as I don't have to be careful for bleeding. I Have used Mission Gold water colors for both the projects.

The sentiment is embossed in gold. I sponged some brown inks on the edges using circle diecut mask.

For the tag, I just stamped a leaf in black and mount on coloured background.

That is all for today! Tomorrow, we are having a stamp release blog hop and a very special guest designer for the same..... I am soooo excited! See you tomorrow!

Roses all over!

Hi Friends,

I am here to share a card I made using My Favorite things - Background stamp - Roses all over. I wanted this stamp since very long but it was out of stock everywhere. And then I found it on Butterflyreflectionsink.3dcartstores.com while I was placing order for other stuff. I love, love, love their collection - a great mix of products. They keep all the latest releases of major brands and offer discounts quite often.  And super sweet Vanessa & her customer service is a bonus....:) !

So here is the card.

I have embossed the background in gold and colored with mission gold water colors. Sentiment die is by PTI. Both the white panes are mounted on craft foam to give dimension. Added some splatter to tie the whole look.

Close Up:

Hope you like it. Have a great weekend. See you soon with two more cards which I just finished...:)
