Jane's Doodle April Blog Hop

Hello Friends,

Jane's Doodles is releasing Some goodies including stand alone die!...Yaay! I am excited to be the part of blog hop for the following items :

Oh Baby!

Stripe Stencil

Grass Die

Unfortunately, I haven't received the grass die yet so I am using stamp and stencil for today's post.

As, we all know that Jane's stamps are super cute. Oh Baby set is no exception. Various images are fun to color and can work with many different supplies. I love geometric designs so stripe stencil is my favorite from the release.

Here is my first card.

I have used embossing paste with stripe stencil for making partial background. I stamped images on colored card stock and embossed them in white. Bunting banners and few embellishments gives the final touch to the design.

Second card is for boy so I have used various blue inks to create plaids with the same stripe stencil.

Such a versatile stencil, isn't it?

There is 35% off on everything through the weekend! No code required.
One lucky winner from all the blogs will be eligible to receive a stamp set.

Here is the blog order

Jane's Doodles blog hop

 Hello Friends,

I am super excited as I am back with Jane's Doodles. During pandemics, mails were unpredictable so I had to pause for a while. Now, it looks like everything is going back to normal and hopefully will stay like that.

In today's blog hop, we are releasing two stamp sets Iris and Happy Day .

My first card uses Iris set. It is a beautifully illustrated set. Coloring Iris flower was really fun as each petal is different. I have used copic markers for coloring.

Second card with Happy Day set.

That is such a cute one. Isn't it?

There is another new set - Spring Picnic added to the store. It is for Easter.

There is 25% off on all the stamps. The deal is valid thorough weekend! One winner will be announced on Monday who will get a set of her choice.
So keep hopping!

Here is the hop order for you!

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop

 Hello friends,

I am so excited to share this post, today! We are celebrating the release of 3 new stamp sets by Jane's Doodles - Hope, Road trip and Old id Gold. Post covid, getting my stamps is a huge problem. It is taking more than a month to receive them. So many a times I have to use digital version which is not that fun. But today, I tried foiling with the printed images. After a long time, I made quite a few cards in one stretch.

Hope Road Trip Old Is Gold - COMING SOON!

Let's start with the Old is Gold. This is such a fun stamp and love those sentiments. Here is my card.

The card is totally inspired by a quote I saw online. "Big or small, bold or italics ...you are my type."  I used various alphabet dies to form the words. Typewriter is printed and gold foiled using laminator.

Isn't it gorgeous? The set is so well designed!

Next few cards use Hope stamp set. I love the cluster of flowers in it. It is well sized to color.

Once again, I went with the foiling. I printed it on some colored card stocks and foiled it. I kept it simple to let the foiling shine.

That cluster of flowers is so pretty that I couldn't resist myself and made 3 more cards...:)

I tried Yana Smakula's coloring technique for that red rose.

That is all for today. I so wanted to use Roadtrip set but I will wait for the physical stamp to arrive. I hope you like the cards I made and feel inspired.

Jane's Birthday Blog Hop

 Hello friends,

Today, I am here to celebrate Jane's (Jane's Doodles) Birthday! She is turning 46 (shhhhhh.... 😊) . We are having a blog hop where all of us will feature our favorite stamp set.

Speaking of favorite, I have many! I love her stamps as they are very cute, simple and many a times very unique. Today, I am choosing Free As A Bird  stamp set to work with. I love the whimsical, unique, happy, chirpy birds in this set. there are multiple images of flying, standing, dancing birds. They are fun to color and easy to use to create a scene or story on the card.

Here is a card and tags I made with it.

Aren't they cute? The design clearly says that there are many birds out there but you are the best. The variation in images i.e. flying and standing birds made it easy to create the narrative. Those tiny stamps of clouds and heart help to add to the scene and enhance the meaning of sentiment.
Gosh, I never realized how much thinking goes in making a card until I reflected upon my thought process.

While coloring an image is the first and the most common use of a stamp, these tags show how you can use those cuties without coloring.

Check that stamp set! you can see how loved it is! Those yellow cutouts are masks created from post it notes which i store with the set.

Tags are double layered ! For two of the tags, I cut the upper tag and stamp that tiny leaves on lower tag to add interest .

I hope you can see why I like this set so much.

Following are 2 more cards which I created in the past using the same stamp set.

The sentiment is from other stamp set of Jane's Doodles but it reflects the attitude of these happy, dancing birds. Don't you think so?

Giveaway & Discount

There is 24 hrs sale where all the stamps are 46% off. Now, that is huge, isn't it?
She will also choose a winner from all the blog comments who will get a stamp set of her choice.

I Love Math Challenge #17

Hello Friends,

It is time for another Math challenge. Now on, all the challenges will run for 2 months so you all will have enough time to get inspired and play. This challenge is set by Å½eljka.

Math: Nine
Design: Card
Theme: Nature
Additional info:
Create a nature themed card using 9 elements (same or different) on your card. If you are using a sentiment, it’s counting as one element. Words are not counted separately.
Challenge starts: August 30th, 2020, 10:00 PM CEST (UTC +2)
Challenge ends: October 30th, 2020, 9:55 PM CEST (UTC +2)

Initially, I thought of creating a scene card but decided to do abstract in the end. When I was going through all the possible stamps I can use for it, the sentiment from an old SSS stamp jumped out at me.

"Adopt the pace of nature : her secret is patience ."

It is a beautiful quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I decided to use various elements of nature  from different stamps . To accommodate all the elements, I went with slimline card. It is 3.5* 8.25 inches.

9 elements are sea, earth, wind, fire, wood, snow, thunder, sun and sentiment.

Instead of plain background,
I used similar dies to provide some texture and relevant backdrop.

I hope you like my take on the challenge.
One winner will get one stamp set of Jane's Doodles.
Please visit Milka's blog HERE for more information on rules and details!

Thank you for being here. Have a wonderful day!

Itsy Bitsy Guest post- Postal Special

Hi there,

How have you been? Honestly, I am bored and frustrated with all this covid thing and uncertainties caused by it. I am waiting to get everything normal again but then they say we have to redefine the 'normal' as things are not going to be the same ever. There is only one thing which is keeping me sane is my crafting. I am experimenting with all kinds of mediums and arts but card-making will be my forever love. And I am glad that it is not going to change . Ever!

Today, I am sharing two cards made from a single stamp set. They are perfect examples how you can use same stamps and achieve different looks. I have used Postal Special stamp set.

Let's check the first card.

I have used same stamps to create background border on card, on envelope flap and to emboss on paper and used them as embellishments.

I masked the bottom part of the card front and stamp different postal marks with Little Birdie Pigment Inks . I have use second generation stamping as I wanted faded look for background. Please check my previous post HERE to learn the technique and to know more about these inks.

I added little bit of shadint with walnut stain distress ink.

Check the deckled edge it created.

Next, I stamped same stamps with same  inks on colored card stock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Sentiment is stamped using versamark ink and embossed with white powder.

Arrange them in a cluster and mount them with foam tape for dimension.

I also stamped on envelop flap with tea dye distress ink and made an embossed seal using Handmade With Love stamp.

For the second card I combined the set with various die cuts to create an effective design.

I used one of the stamp from set with wings and embossed it twice on beige card stock. Fussy cut it to make wings beneath the heart. I used various postmark with a grey ink to stamp background on a light grey card base. I also used various dies from my stash to complete the look.

I used these wax beads and a heart stamp to create seal on the envelope. Yes, you can use little birdie stamps to make your customized seals.

That is all for today! I hope you enjoyed the process. Thinking out side of the box is the key to unique creativity. Keep crafting and stay safe!
Have a great day! Hugs!

I Love Math Challenge #16

Hello Friends,

How are you all doing in these tough times of pandemic? I will be honest, I am having trouble focusing on anything. Anxiety got me a bit, i guess. We are having I love math challange #16.

I have made a simple card. On water color paper i painted sky and water and a bit of sand with water color. I kept it in mind not to paint beyond 1/3 part. Stamps are for one of the monthly kit by Heroarts.
Here is the closeup.

I hope you like the minimalist look of it.
