I Love Math Challenge #11

Hey friends,

I love math challenge is back with interesting theme. We are on 11th challenge. Isn't that amazing. My super talented friend Milka is working hard to make it happen. I respect her passion for doing same.

Back to challenge ... the theme is Crescent Shape. Create any project using crescent shape on it or have a crescent shaped project but crescent shape should be a focal point.

Here is my inspiration

I know...i know...it's an adorable card. But all credit goes to this cutest ever stamp set  Little Dreamers by WPlus9. It was fun to make that circular galaxy background though...:)

Please visit Milka's blog HERE for details, rules, prizes and more inspiration.

Thank you so much for being here. I really hope you will give a try to this fun challenge.

Have a great day!

Rakhi Cards

Hey Friends,

Popping here for  a quick post today. I wanted to share Rakhi cards I made this year.
Here goes the first one.

I applied squeezed lemon distress ink on white CS. Added stencilled triangle with mustard seed ink. Emboss some more triangles in gold with WPlus9 stamp. Added sentiment and some bling.

For the second card, I used Altenew cityscape stamp on Papertrey ink pattern paper. I stamped the same stamp on a white panel & coloured the top with distress inks & stamp the sentiment.

Align and adhere the ready panel on card base.

Third card is very simple. All stamps an dies are from Papertrey Ink. Added some pattern paper and silver glitter border on the edge.

Hope you like the cards. I will be back soon...keep crafting. Hugs.

Crazy Birds - Tim Holtz

Hi friends,

Today, I am sharing few cards made using Tim Holtz - Bird Crazy stamp set. I was waiting to get it since CHA. It is an adorable, quirky set of images. I love the most is the expressions on their faces. In my cards I tried to give words to their expressions... and it is so much fun... it cracks me up every time i look at them.

Here goes the first one...

Simple colouring & mamaelephant sentiments...just goes so well!

Second card:

Isn't this funny? 'BFF' is a Jane's Doodle stamp and the other is Wplus9...just added 'Ya' to sync everything.

Third one :

I designed this card around that Papertrey ink sentiment. To highlight the contrasts of regular and some one different, I used black die cut of a bird representing regular, general, normal bird against that crazy, colourful , different bird.

Last one :

Love...love...love this one. Verve stamp sentiment goes so well with this kind of old - nerdy bird.

That's all for today....!

See you soon!

Another shaker

Here it goes...

For this card, I created a panel with two colors of paper stripes. Made a window for shaker element with PTI speech bubble die. I stamped the inside of cutout with WPLUS9 stamp. Added some locally found bling & mounted the panel with foam tape. I also added 2 more speech bubble, one from pattern paper with studio calico wood veneer heart( colored and covered with glossy accent) and another with sentiment from simon says stamp.

Winged Beauty

Hey there,

I saw this video  by Dawn Woleslagle and instantly fell in love with this Flora & Fauna2 set. She is extremely talented artist and I got so much  inspired by her water colouring that I bought the set.

I tried it on water colour paper.....

......didn't get that soft transparent look but learned a thing...in water colouring little goes long way. Anyway, I am going to try again and again till i get that desired look...:)

And then I made a card my way...:)

It is a side fold card. I drew a line with pencil 1" away from right edge and stamped and emboss butterflies in gold. I fussy cut butterflies and removed that 1"strip. Black strip was added inside of the card to provide contrast.

Even though it is a single layer card, the partially cut butterflies give it a 3D look. They are coloured with various distress inks.

I have used the same technique on this card too. Hope you will like it.

See you soon...till then... happy crafting!

First post

This is my first post. I have created a birthday card using Wplus9 Pretty Peonies stamp set. My white base card is 5"x7".  I took a piece of aqua cardstock, positioned on base card and trimed. I took medium detail stamp form the set and stamped with aquamarine archival dye ink by ranger. I used same stamp with pistachio pigment ink(colorbox) and stamp once again over the aqua flowers. Added centres with dandelion yellow (memento). On aqua cardstock i used outline leaves cluster from the same set, stamped with versamark & embossed with white embossing powder. The leaves are colored with shades of green distress inks. On a pistagreen scrap piece i stamped largest outlined peony, embossed with white powder and colored with same green distress inks & fussy cut it. Aqua piece is glued on white card base while flower is popped on foam tape. Sentiment (Papertreyink) is white embossed on a black paper & popped with foam tape.
