Hello friends,
Few days back, I received this stamp set called
lotus delight by
peek-a-boo designs (crafter's tale). I was excited as these stamps are made in India. I played around for few days and today I am sharing my experience with you all.
The stamp set is 4x6 inches. There are total 8 stamps, 6 flowers ( 3 solid, 3 outlines) and 2 sentiments. The material of stamps is really good. Solid and outline both stamps give crisp detail as well as even coverage. I love how perfectly the outline and solid stamps align with each other. I wish sentiment were little bigger.
So without further ado, let's see the cards.
For this card, I have used mama elephant pigment inks. I made few masks from copy paper. I stamped outline & solid stamps using masks in top left corner of the A2 size card. White embossed sentiment on black. I also added one embossed and fussy cut flower from velum under the sentiment. As you can see the solid stamp coverage is excellent & thin lines between petals are crisp. Love it.
For above card, I used a new technique (new to me). I stamped three solid stamps with Altenew inks. I used copic markers a shade darker than inks for adding shadows on the stamped flowers. These inks and copic blend beautifully. Fussy cut flowers were arranged in a cluster along with some stamped and die cut branches. Added sentiment and Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins to finish it off.
I have used Pretty Pink Posh - story book 1 die to cut some panels from water colour card-stock. I stamped and embossed panels with liquid platinum powder. Coloured whole panel with Ken Oliver colour bursts. I just love the vibrant colours against kraft CS.
Here I stamped all outline stamps with versafine black ink. The co-coordinating solid stamps are inked with two shades of altenew inks to give that ombre look. I hope you can see the colour gradient. Aligning outline & solid stamps was very easy and it fits superbly.
This is my favourite one. No, it is not fussy cut pattern paper. I inked large solid flower with pigment ink and kissed it with hero arts background stamp. This will lift the ink and transfer BG pattern on flower stamp. Now, stamp the tag with it & add outlined stamp in black. This method works better with pigment inks.
All in all, very impressive quality. I would love to see more indigenous and conceptually mature designs from them. Wishing you all the best Vidushi & team. And thanks a lot for giving me
this opportunity.
Hugs.
