Blog hop - Jane's doodles

Hello friends,

How are you all doing? We all are going through some really tough time. We have total lock-down for 3 weeks. We are half way there. While I try to create and keep myself occupied, that feeling of uncertainty is always there at the back of mind. I simply can't concentrate in this new norm. Let's hope we get back to our routine pretty soon.

Let's try to cheer ourselves up. We @jane's doodles have a blog hop for you. There are 2 new stamp sets Tulips & Spring Icons, released recently. I love the idea of Tulips set. The flowers, stem and leaves are separate stamps which gives you flexibility to make your own bouquet bu masking and stamping.

Tulips     Spring Icons

I have used Tulip set for today's card. I stamped multiple of each images on water color card stock with light ink as I was going for no line water coloring. I used Mission Gold water colors and faber castell pencils for adding details. It took me a while to build those layers but the result is worth the efforts. I fussy cut all the images and arranged them on a ink blended panel.

Sentiment is from Doodle Butterflies. I finished it off by adding few clear dew drops.

I hope my card could cheer you up!

Please check out all the blogs and leave comment on each one for you chance to win a stamp set of your choice. The winner will be announced on Friday! All the stamps are 30% off till Friday.

Honey Bee Stamps - Car Show

Hello friends,

After a long time I am sharing a post here. Now a days, Instagram and FB works faster than blog posts. But the cards I made form these sets need a spotlight. I want to make it a practice where you make all the possible designs you can think of in one go. I did one such post with Penny Black stamp. You can check it HERE.

I love this stamp sets by Honey Bee stamp - car show & You're a classic and a stencil Flames. These products coordinate beautifully and works well for masculine cards for which we all struggle a lot.
So, lets start with the cards.

First card is inspired by a vintage car poster

Image result for vintage car posters

I masked the bottom part of the light beige card and used sun ray stencil by mft to ink and clear emboss the rays in brick red distress oxide. I flipped the stencil to ink the mirror image of rays in light beige ink. I stamped, color and fussy cut car. I did light beige copic shading (matching to the card stock) and stenciled sun rays on the glass window of the car to make it look transparent. Finally, i stamped the sentiment using archival ink as i was stamping on clear embossed parts. I just love how it turned out .

Next card is comparatively simple but i had fun putting all those elements together.

I used an old postcard and travelling journal card print from DCWV maps & ledger stack. I made a back drop with them for a blue vintage car. I also added postal stamps and sliver of map print for the ground from the same stack. Very happy with the layout. What do you think?

Next card uses the magnificent stencil.

I use different altenew inks to stencil on white card stock. Car is colored with copics. Added a golden frame to panel.

Last one is ditto like Kelly Latevola's video HERE

I used different altenew inks to stamp and color images. Sentiment is from Avery Elle set. Honestly, I was nerves on how to use these stamps as I have never worked with this theme before. So I watched her video and made this first card which was kind of ice breaker for me.

I hope you like the cards. Hopefully, i will be back soon yet again with one more theme and honey bee stamps.
Thank you so much for being here. Have a wonderful day!

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop -2020

Hello friends,

It's been long since we connected here. In 2020, I am going to try to do more blogposts. Insta anf fb are so quick, I am slowly loosing interest in writing blogs. But i think, I have to work on that.

Today, we have a blog hop for newly released stamps. WILD & WILDFLOWERS. I have 2 cards to share with you.

For the first card, I have used wild set.

This set has the cutest animals ever. Sentiments are versatile so can make various occasions' cards. For this one I have used various dies as a background for the copic colored image.

For the second card, I have used Wild Flowers stamp set.

I stamped the bouquet of flowers on a white panel using misti. I used grey and black ink for stamping to add little interest. Cut a small rectangle for the panel & colored the flowers with copics. I mounted the frame on a pink card stock. The center panel is mounted with foam tape at an angle. Sentiment is from All Occasions set.

I hope you like my unusual take  on both the cards.

Please check out all the blogs and leave comment on each one for you chance to win a stamp set of your choice. The winner will be announced on Monday! Thorough the weekend all the stamps are 30% off.

Now, coming to my card, I have used MFT stencil and few blue and green distress oxides for blending. I have chosen triangle shapes for math part as they represent Christmas trees very well. All the details are hand drawn. I also added some glimmer paste for the snow using sss stencil. The sentiment is by Jane's Doodles.

Snow Globe - NEW! SALE!Winter Icons - NEW! SALE!Winter Village - NEW! SALE!Winter Words - NEW! SALE!

Lets start with the first card

I have used Winter Village  set for this card. This is the most beautiful winter set I have seen in a while. The houses are adorable and good sized to create a scene. I have used various distress oxides to create shy and copics to color the images. Splatters of chalk paint was added for the snow.

This winter Icon set is so much fun! I have used water color paper circles to stamp and color images . I love the mix of blues and greens. That embossing folder adds nice texture to a simple card. This design is a great example on how to use small stamps and create a larger focal point.

Next set is Snow Glob. It is to create scene within the glob but I thought everyone is going to use it that way so I decided to make few cute tags using it.

THere is a new addition to our design team , Linda van Wely-Zwolle . She is from Netherlands and you can find her amazing work @ Stamping with Liz Desig . She is an amzing crafter and i love her coloring skills. Linda, warm welcome to the team!
