Too bee or not to bee 2019

Hello Friends,

Today, we are celebrating 2nd World Bee day with a blog hop which is organized by Milka Gubo. The main purpose of the hop is to spread awareness of the significance of bees for our survival. You can find a lot of educational information on official World Bee Day pages, here: https://www.worldbeeday.org/en/

There are 22 crafters from all over the world are joining for the hop. We all are  sharing something handmade featuring bee/bees, honey or apicultural products.

Here is my card

We all know that bees are the most hard working insects. A bee visits 50 to 100 flowers per trip to take nectar and pollen to the hive. Apart from making honey they work as nursemaids, caretakers, cleaners, honeycomb builders, nectar ripeners, pollen packers and hive repairers. When they are older, they will begin the public work of collecting water, pollen, nectar and propolis , then working with the house bees to appropriately store and utilize their goods.

So, the sentiment on my card suggests what we can learn from this incredible insect. I have used alcohol inks on yupo to make hexagons in the background. Here is the close up.

I Love Math Challenge #13

Hello friends,

How are you today! We are late this time but Challenge#13 is on! If you are familiar with math challenges then you know they are super fun and If you are first timer please visit Milka's blog HERE for details & rules.

This time the topic is little tricky but that means more imagination and more creativity, right?

                                                                 Math : Infinity
                                                                 Project : Card
                                                                 Theme : Any

I struggled a little to work on this theme but was happy with the outcome. I feel nothing is more infinite than love.

I used memory box heart die to create infinite sign. For the top part of panel, I just swipe orange and aqua ink pads from the top down. When it was dry, I swipe versamark ink pad and embossed it with golden embossing powder. Stamped sentiment in black to finish it off .

Love the texture!

The challenge will end on June 4th, 2019 - 9:55pm CEST.

Prize : One Jane's Doodles stamp set of winners choice. Željka, Kaja, Milka, Valentina and I will select four favorite projects (TOP 4), which will be featured on Milka's blog on June 30th 2019.
Among TOP 4, there will be a random draw (using Random.org) for one lucky winner who will then receive the prize.

Please refer Milka's blog HERE to meet our Guest Designer Å½eljka Jurković-Grižić and to link your project.

I hope you will play along. Can't wait to see what you create.

THanks for stopping by. Hugs!

Penny Black : Perspective stamp and die

Hello Friends,

After a long time I made few cards just because I loved the stamp set so much that I couldn't stop myself making all of them at once. The set is Perspective by Penny Black (and glasses die too) . It is a mix of some wonderful sentiments and I tried to use them as creatively as I could.

Lets start with first card.

Honestly, I bought the set for this one single sentiment. It is all about perspective... as Dr . Dyre said...If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. The Card design is very simple. I have used their glasses die too to cut the specs. I kept the clouds grey except the one which are showing through specs to show the change in perspective.

For second card I had to use this owl stamp by MFT because it is super adorable. I may add googly eyes or tiny hearts inside the small specs.

I have stamped owl on pattern paper and added little bit of shading with copics.

I have used bunch of different brand stamps for this card. Geometric background is by MFT, text background on panel is by Heroarts and fox and greenery is by Pinkfresh Studio.

I cut through both the layers - card base & panel with glasses die.

The inside of card which is visible thru glasses. Interesting...isn't it?

For the next card, I again used MFT set for focal point with neat & tangled background die.

I used these make-up brushes to blend oxide inks for the back drop.  As the backdrop is colorful, I decided to keep images very subtle.

The next card I made for my Ophthalmologist. It was so fun.

Again, I used multiple stamps and dies to create background layers.

Last card uses just Magnifying glass from the stamp set.

Sentiment is computer generated which goes well with this mama elephant set.

I hope you like these  one set wonders. I totally enjoyed it.
Thanks for being here. Have a great day!

You are hot!

Hello friends,

I am on Jane's Doodles blog whit a HOT card...:P

I used Jane's Doodles Food on the go stamp set to create focal point. The Images are colored with Copics. For the backgound I did partial ink blending with a circle mask & embossed the panel with Kaisercraft embossing folder!

Love the balance of simple design and enough interest in background.

Thanks for being here ! Have a lovely day!
