love you this much

Hey friends,

I am sharing a card I made for Jane's Doodles blog. I got this Seamus stamps long back but never used it for some or other reason. I used the sentiment HERE  but not the sheep.

Isn't that cute!
The colors are very soft and beautiful in person but somehow my camera doesn't like that grey...:( . I tried many times but this is the closest to the actual. Weird hunn!

And as Darnell's NBUS#9 is up, I am going to link this to the challenge.
Mu NBUS is that Seamus stamp.

There is optional theme too. For which I will be making another card....yes, love her challenges so much!

That is all for today! See you soon!

NBUS Challenge #8

Hello Friend,

My crafty friend Darnell is celebrating 5th birthaversary of her blog along with 1000+ followers as well as posts. My today's card is for NBUS Challenge #8. The theme is color pencil on kraft. A while back I got the altenew-peony bouquet stamp set to practice pencil coloring with just out lined image while using the layered stamped image as guide line. But never got chance to start with it. So when I saw the theme of challenge, I knew what I wanted to do...:) Here is the card!

I stamped the outline flower with versafine ink using MISTI on kraft cs. I left the stamp in its place in MISTI. I colored the flower and leaves with Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils. A zillion and some strokes after, once you are happy with the coloring, put the cs back in the MISTI and stamp with versafine once again to reinforce the black outline for a crisp image. These pencils are very creamy and you can build layers very efficiently with them.

Please visit her blog if you haven't done that already. There are many prices to win and it is always a pleasure to read her posts. Her wit makes me smile...always!

Much Love!

Hello friends,

I am sharing a fun slider card which I made for my DT post for Jane's blog. I have used Life is Good & Seamus stampset and hearts from various other sets.

I love the Life is good stampset. It is so versatile. I made a little garden in a jar using it before...you can check it HERE!

And, here is today's card!

Here is the video to see the sliding hearts.

I wanted to give that transparent effect to the jar so I have use acetate .
Here is the step by step pictorial.

Take 2 white card stock (bielo) panels measuring 4.5 X 6.5 inches and a 4x3.5 inches piece of acetate.
Stamp the jar using MISTI in exact same position on both the panel with memento tuxedo black ink. On acetate stamp the jar with archival - jet black ink.
Cut out a window (inner part of jar) form second panel.

Cut the slider channel using MFT's surf and turf die . Adhere the acetate on the back of the second panel (with window) . Aline well so the outline of jar matches the one on acetate. Now cut the channel in same place on acetate too.

Now comes the slider part. You need some kind of thick disc like this one by MFT  . But unfortunately, It was always out of stock whenever I ordered from MFT.

My crafting buddy Paru Mahtani sent me these wooden beads to use for the same purpose. You can check her blog HERE! She is an amazing crafter and a kind soul!

They are so lightweight and easy to glue and best part is they are very affordable. I am so thankful to her. To make sliding element, take a slightly wider circle die cut than the channel , glue the bead on it,insert the beads from the back into the channel, glue the hearts on beads.

Stamp various hearts in the jar ( on first panel) and in a corner of second panel with matching inks as your heart diecuts. Glue the second panel on top of first using foam tape to give space for hearts to slide.

Added some golden splatter, sentiment and metal embellishment to finish off the card.

That is all for today! Hope you will enjoy the process and tips. See you soon!

Love you snow much

Hey there,

I am starting the 2017 with a shaker card I made for Jane's blog! I have used the Winter Wishes stamp set (which is on sale right now). I love this set because it is about winter but not Christmas. Isn't that interesting? You can use it through out the winter for other than Christmas cards!

I have used MFT stamp for back ground, all the images are water colored. I experimented different colors for sky as I wanted to show the warmth of morning son in winter. For the snow, I have used
Dress My Craft's sparkling dust as a shaker element!. I love the super sparkly and white shimmer.

Perfect for snow!Thank you for being on my blog! Wishing you all a very happy new year!

Mixed media my way

Hello friends,
I am on The Craft Shop blog today with mixed media! Yes, you read it right... Mixed Media! LOL! They have launched mini canvas panels in three different sizes which are excellent for miniature painting, mixed media, magnets etc.

I have created these three panels using not so fancy supply. I feel mixed media is about expressing your self rather than using tons of embellishments, mediums and all fancy paints. Of course they all have a huge impact on final product but if you don't have enough supply, don't be disheartened. Just look around - you will find many things to work with. Check out The Craft Shop Blog to see what I used and how i made these minis!

Thanks a lot for stopping by ! Keep crafting ...be happy!
