Party Girls

Hey there,

I am here today with a card in which i tried quite a few new things. I have used Art Impression's Party girls set. I like their quirky images and hilarious sentiments. They are fun to colour too. So, I paired that with my new copics.

Isn't that fun card? I am going for more of these stamps for sure. I colored girls' tops and balloons with bright colours and kept the bottoms simple. I also wanted to get hang of copics so used all the groups i have. I learned that i need some in reds and greens to bridge the gap and get that blended look. But i am really pleased with the overall result.

The balloons are winked...;)

Now, another experiment... those gold banner are foil transfer. Not a big thing but that foil is local...sample from a printing press & I used label sheet (we use for printing labels in the computer), cut it with die, remove the backing and used sticky side for foil transfer. In person it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Hope you like it...and if you do...please leave me a comment and also share some diy ideas with foil.
Thanks a lot. See you soon!

For HIM

Hello friends,

How are you all? I am super duper busy now a days. I have so many cards to share but not getting enough time to write posts. Today, I am sharing two masculine cards. I always struggle when I have to design a card for a man. But this Penny Black stamp and Lil' inker die helped me a lot....:)

The first one is my absolute favourite. Love its clean and sophisticated look.

Focal image is penny black stamp. I shaded the matting and tie with distress inks . Text is heroarts stamp added with masking the panel with torn paper and shaded by distress inks. Corner of the panel is cut with sss die & stamped with text stamp & colored with same inks. I dry emboss the corner of the base & added the panel with foam tape.

The second card .

I just love that 'DAD' die by Lil Inkers. Build the whole card around it. Background stencil and stitched dies are from SSS.

Hope you will like them. Hugs.

Jane's Doodles

Hello Friends! Today I am sharing a card I made using Jane's Doodles - Pretty Peonies stamp. Super cool stamp. I also used Laura's card  for inspiration.

I stamped those gorgeous flowers with versamark and embossed them with liquid platinum embossing powder. I use spun sugar, spiced marmalade and tattered rose distress inks for colouring those beauties. Split the panel with MFT - wave border die. Added PTI sentiment from the back. I also cut the bottom part of the panel with same die but at different angle and added two wavy border.
I stamped the base of the card with Clearly besotted stripe stamp in some grey ink. Last i added that 'wishing' die cut ( sss die) .

That is all for now.... keep crafting & sharing. Hugs!

Light up my life!

Hi friends,

It is a quick post. I made a card inspired by Taheerah's Cure For Monday Blues Challenge #46.
Yes, I just had to play along as those are my favourite colours and all the graphic elements from inspiration picture were calling me....:)

Inspiration photo.

Isn't that gorgeous? So many possibilities...!

My take on it:

I was inspired by colors and that light bulb in the corner.
I first stamped black stripes with clearly besotted -  Basic Stripes. Cut a grey card stock with simon says stitched die and trimmed the bottom to an angle to give little attitude to it!. The bulb die is MFT inked with distress ink.

Entering for the challenge.

Try to play along if you haven't done yet!
Bye for now... see you soon!

Creative Blog Hop

Hey Friends,

First of all, thanks to Smita Satish for nominating me for this blog hop and my apologies to her too as I am very late in posting this post. Looks like I am very late and all creative people are already tagged so can't think of anyone who is not tagged. Let me know if you want to get tagged by me. I will add your name in this post.

So here I go......

1. What are you working on right now?

I just finished a card which involves DIY embossing with metal charm. I made it for

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?

The neatness and execution of my thought process  are two things which make them different.

3. Why do you create what you do?

I make cards and stuff because I love it. It is a pure passion and my high-way to happiness. It gives me that inner peace and keeps me sane.

4. How does your creative process work?

I generally don't plan much. I allow my thoughts to take their own shape. I just help them to express by selecting proper supply like stamps, colours, establishments etc.

I did some posts(as a guest DT) about how I think about my designs.
You can check them here and here  to know more about my though process.

Here is the card...

Virginia said...be creative... and I remembered doing this here before. Please check it there are more experiments I did with DIY embossing. I did not have blog that time so used to post everything on my fb page Periwinkle Creations.

Supply :

I use a very sturdy metal charm which can stand pressure of big shot. I use brown embossing pad, thick cs and charm to get impression. Cover the raised part with versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Apply some water and distress ink to colour de-bossed part...the clear ebossing will resist the colours. I splatter different pigment ink reinkers with tooth brush and heat emboss them with clear powder to create that multi colour panel.

I also experimented with wrapping a thin metal wire around an old credit card and using it for embossing.

Hope you will also try some other materials to emboss. If you do please share...would love to see it!

Linking this card for Virginia's challenge.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

Runway Inspired challenge#79 - Oscars Red Carpet

Hey there,

There are so many fabulous challenges going on and I needed a best wishes card for a girl who is appearing for her exams. I took inspiration for the following picture - Runway Inspired Challenge#79

My Take on this :

I was inspired by that partition with triangles, that peach-ish glow of light in the back ground and that gold gilded Oscar trophy.

I created a pech water color background with distress inks( to mimic the glow of light ), allowed it to dry, stamped tiny circles with versamark & embossed with Liquid platinum (inspired by the dress). I punched out several triangles and cut out hearts with a tiny die, added wink of stell & mounted with foam tape to give that sort of hanging effect(like triangles in pic). Die cut 'shine' from foil paper using PTI die. Added a strip of burgandy and mounted the whole panel on a peach card base.

The picture is not so good...i always have a problem when there is this foil paper on the card.
Close up:

Hope this gives a better view.

The supply used.

I am also entering this card for Tahherah's Cure for the Monday blues #45

I think the foil diecut, peachy colour and circles reflect many elements from inspiration picture.

That is all for now...stay tuned... some embossing experiments are coming soon...:)

doodle flowers

Hello friends,

I am super excited today. I got Jane's doodles stamps sometime back. I wanted to use them so desperately but for one or other reason I wasn't able to do so. Finally, I made some cards using one set "Doodle Flower". I am in love with them...totally. Quality wise they are in the top category plus i like Jane's way of putting a whole set together. There are variation in sizes of images - which is very much necessary- paired with very thoughtful sentiments. On top of all they are hand drawn. All these make me a happy...very happy stamper...:)

I have tried to create few different looks using the same set. Hope i have succeeded.

For the first card,I stamped flowers few times (with masking) and coloured them with tombow markers. Images have a thick outline so they give even stamping and makes colouring little easier.

For second card, I embossed bunch of flowers in white on a sky blue cs. I used Dusty Concord distress ink and lots of water to colour them. Splatters on the white base are made with the same ink. Die cut and stamped sentiments are from papertrey ink. I finished it off by adding velum die cut with papertrey ink die.

Close Up :

I wanted to make a single layer card with  paper piecing so started with masking area with washi tape for sentiment. But I messed up while removing masking so ended up using strip of same paper with sentiment. All the colored parts are paper piecing. Simply love it.

Close Up :

This one was the easiest one. Stamped flowers and leaves randomly and  loosely coloured them with Koi Water colours. Sentiment is from Papertrey ink, embossed in black on clear acetate.

For the last card, I stamped one of the steam multiple times with versamark and embossed them with various metallic embossing powder. Added some circles with enamel dots and finished it off by adding 'enjoy' die cut.

Hope I was able to express my love for this beautiful stamp set.

That's all for now. Happy Crafting!
